The Ussurans eventually found themselves a far away place to make their home. Matushka was now lost to them, gone with Théah. However they took many boxes of earth from their homeland out into space with them. This seems to have brought something of little grandmother with them as they are still able to use Pyerem. However, Matushka herself has not been seen since the Diasapora and she is beleived to have fallen. However the Usuran Orthodox church beleives that Matushka had the same intentions as the 4th prophet, and that she let go of her physical form and merged compleately with the land. So the part of Ussura that came to the stars also brought Matushka. It seems that she, like the 4th prophet had decided it was time for her children to grow up.
However, the Ussuran people are still in mourning for the loss of their guardian. They wanted little to do with the rest of the people of Théah and found a peaceful place in space, cut off from the rest of the nations. They trade with all the other nations, but rarly take part in universal politics. They are becoming almost as withdrawn as the Cathayans and the Crescents. The old political system of a Gaius ruling a council prevails, but there is no longer Matushka to choose a leader.
The Ussuran System
Very few planets in the Ussuran system are near the sun, making their home a
cold and barren place. However, there is great beauty there if you know where
to look. It is said that the Ussurans took one look at this place and fell in
love with it, which is lucky because no one else wanted it. The system is situated
inside a nebula which plays havoc with communications, cutting it off from the
rest of humanity. This has saved them from additional attacks from the Syrneth.
Ussuran
Ships
Like the people who crew them, Ussuran ships seem functional and artless, but
are in fact elegant in flight. The ships themselves arn't much to look at, btu
when you get close you notice the elegant carvings and craftwork that decorate
the hull, none of which is aparent from far away.
