The time had come to reveal how the heroes found themselves washed up on a beach. So as they recover in Rokugan, their memories returned and the campaign slipped back in time to several months before. Here a message from Fiora draws the heroes into destiny's web once more. A message from the East suggests that not only is there some sort of land to the far west, but that Axel's wife (and Francine's sister) Eponine, might still be alive!


 

The Beggar’s Opera
To help out a charity organisation, our heroes bite off far more than they can chew.

We go back in time to reveal the memories the group had forgotten after the trauma that landed them in rokugan.

Characters try to help out a soup kitchen in Altimera.

Pietro literally runs into Rashad – Fiora’s plan!

Discover thieves in the place owe money to the Beggar King who owns the bad area.

They get captured by him and strike a deal to give him cash to keep the kitchen going.

They convince the women running it to pay the Beggar King and then run.

Basically they set up a protection racket for someone else!

Return to Vodacce
The trail to find Felipe begins with a dangerous trip back to Vodacce.

 

Fiora wants them to investigate discovery of Margaretta’s old fencing instructor.

Fiora and Pietro finally kiss!!!

Travel to Bernoulli island to get passage and Axel embarisses Pietro.

Entering the Empire
The mystery takes the heroes to the mysterious land of the Crescent Empire, where their darkest thoughts take form
Land in Crescent port and join a caravan to the right city.

Attacked by ghost wolves on the way

Get to other city, enjoy hookahs.

The Merchant and the Madman
Welcomed to the home of Asala Ben Nagris, will the heroes betray his hospitality or leave a man enslaved?

Make their way to merchant who welcomes them generously.

He is charmed into taking them to see Felipe who is raving.

But his ravings have been helping the merchant make money.

PCs have to decide if they will rescue Felipe – save a mad guy from (comfortable) slavery and have a chance to find Eponine, but prove themselves very bad guests and insult the trust merchant has offered them.

They choose to leave Felipe in the empire.

   

Love on the Run
Escaping the Crescent Empire, our heroes find keeping secrets in Vodacce harder than they expected.

Return to Bernoulli island and meet Bianca again.

Richard meets Bianca’s dad and accidentally tells him what they know of the West in an attempt to impress him. Pietro has also told his family as he doesn’t want to upset them.

Take ship to Castille and Fiora, Bianca follows. Group agrees to let her stay.

   

Breaking the Chains
Margaretta Orduno is keen to help the heroes make their way to the west, but the inquisition watches her every move. A plan is hatched to break the Inquisition’s power forever.

Group try to get to Margaretta to get her help to mount a voyage to the West.

Tough to get close and lots of problems with the Inquisition (turns out most of the group are on their #1 most wanted list!)

She can’t help with the Inquisition on her case. Basically the church needs a distraction.

Margaretta sends the group to meet Cardinal Durkeheim who needs people to do just that.

   

Tower of Faith
A daring gold theft leads to a meeting with an old friend, and a plan to free the lost bishops of Montaigne.

This adventure 'Tower of Faith' is found in 'Rapier's Edge' (which was written by me)

Group gets the cash to free Montegue

The Fall of Freiburg
A stopover at their old home proves more dangerous than expected, and Trague is about to change the city forever.

Group takes Montegue to Montaigne government in exile.

Go to a party and Axel gets in trouble (and a duel), while Pietro rejects a noblewoman.

Richard is told the next day they have found him a fencing instructor (Pierre), it turns out to be the nobleman Axel duelled, and his wife in the woman Pietro rejected.

Set off for Freiburg on way back to Margaretta Orduno.

On the way, wife propositions Pietro, he refuses, she says he’ll be sorry for rejecting her.

Pietro upsets some other people and gets kicked out of the inn.

Next morning, Richard told by Pierre that if Pietro “makes another move on his wife there will be trouble”!

Arrive in Freiburg to find Francine a partner in Paroise Merchantile. Everyone welcomed. Trague also turns up drunk to say hello and ask about their adventures.

Dinner with Axel’s parents, youngest sister decides she wants Pietro to ‘make her a woman’ Pietro not keen. Axel also discovers Pietro has slept with his other sister and is not pleased.

That night, Pierre’s wife tries to have Pietro again, when he refuses she tears her nightdress and screams he assaulted her. Pierre challenges him to a duel and they leave.

As Pietro is still wounded, Richard insults Pierre and also ends up in a duel!

Seconds come to tell Pietro Pierre awaits him to find a time he is well enough to duel, and because of this, Richard apologies and doesn’t fight.

Pierre asks Pietro to meet him secretly, and tells him he fancies him. He’s been living a lie which is why his wife feels rejected and goes after other men. If Pietro will sleep with him, he’ll take the reputation hit and call it all off. Pietro thinks this is great and does so. The other members of the group insist he has basically been blackmailed into sex, but Pietro is fine with it!

A deal is struck to allow Richard to train in Valroux with Pierre. Francine will Porte him to the ship and back every so often to train.

As they get ready to return to San Cristbel, a fire breaks out. Fires have been set by people who help get people out of their homes so they can rob them. Group figures this out and tackles them. Refusing a bribe, Pietro takes them on but is already badly injured and is put down. Richard takes over and finishes them off. As most people saw him take action, Richard is hailed as a hero and a bench is made in the park in his honour. Pietro is hurt and unimpressed.

   

Pirates and Monsters
The heroes set off westward, anticipating a long journey. But they are not along in the seemingly empty waters, and several encounters lead them to seek sanctuary in a port of criminals and pirates.

The group return to San Cristobal to find Margaretta and the Explorer’s have got a ship for them. Part of the crew is renowned explorer Elainia and her team.

A long journey begins with Pierre poping over to teach Richard how to fight (and insult people) and spending the nights sleeping with Pietro.

They come across a ship that has been raided by a Voddace crew. It seems the Voddace are also on the way West and eager to speed ahead as far as thy can.

Next they encounter a Leviathan that puts a hole in the ship.

To fix the hole they need a drydock, and the only place is range is a pirate island Elainia knows. The boss is an Ex of hers and it did not end well. But the island is neutral, offering safe harbour, for a price, to all ships in need of repair.

They dock and enjoy the lawless shanty town – Pietro finds an odd Syrneth artefact on the way.

   

Island of Spirits
Landing at the idyllic Caribbean island run by Sebastian's family the heroes find true rest. But a dark force is at work here and the island workers are not as content as the governor believes.

Landfall
After weeks of nothing, a sudden signal threatens to tear everything apart.

After many more days at sea, Francine gets a contact of some form.

Before anyone can stop her she is opening a portal (while Axel covers her) shouting that ‘I’ve found her’.

The portal swallows half the ship and tears it apart. Everyone is flung into the portal and the sea. They awake on the beach in Rokugan, with no memory due to the trauma, but what is Pierre, Bianca, Rashad and the crew?

With their memories returned, the group ponders how to find the others. But a group of Samurai arrive bearing a badly injured Rashad who has been found in the lands of the Crab clan. All he can mutter before passing out is: “I’ve found them…”
